Warung Babi Guling Pak Malen

One of the legendary babi guling restaurants in Bali. It's definitely a must try if you are in this city. The parking can be quite a hassle if you arrive late. It's best to arrive early or before lunch or dinner. The complete set is your best bet if you are not sure what to order. Don't forget to order the mandarin juice to help you wash down the food as it's really refreshing.

Recommended by our guide. Food is nice. If u want to order extra pig skin, pls come early. Each set comes with 1 skin only. The skin was crispy & nice.

I can't recommend this place enough! We stumbled upon it randomly through Google Maps, and to our surprise, it turned out to be our favorite meal of the trip! A few days later, two different private drivers told us it’s the best Babi Guling in Bali. We’ll definitely be back next time we're in Bali!

Babi Guling pak Malen - the best balinese roast (guling) pork in Bali (my version) Its been my tenth time in Bali and malen is definitely my first stop of the visit. It was nicely cooked, the skin was crispy, the seasoning was just right! It was a bit spicy tho. You got to try this one in Bali!

It lives up to the expectations. Be ready to wait in queue but the line moves pretty quickly. It's a big restaurant as there's also upstairs. We got the classic babi guling plate - absolutely delicious. The crispy pork is like no other : tender, crispy, full of pork fat, juicy and melts in your mouth. Be sure to wash it down with coconut juice or the classic teh sosro.

Went on a non-peak weekend hours and managed to get seating without any problems. The sambal has a kick and quite spicy for me. Had better sate babi than here, perhaps not enough grill and fat. Ambiance is quite nice and looks new, it looks like they have just completed a renovation. You can also buy frozen meals and bring home as well.

They renovated in the last year or two, which lets you eat upstairs, which also means more room to serve customers. Malen is legendary for their babi guling (suckling pig). It’s a bit spicy so beware. I notice that they change their vegetables (lawar), i once get the pepaya leaves and sometimes the green beans. A bit pricey, but i guess it’s worth it if you want to try Balinese foods. My personal favorite is their kerupuk, which unlike other places, is spiced and very tasty

Decent price, decent portion, and tastes very good. Last time I tried "Nasi Spesial", it tastes delicious. Services were satisfying. The place was big (2 floors), clean, and comfortable. Great place to eat "Babi Guling" with your friends or family. Last visit on: 31 March 2025, 09:00 WITA.
